1 of 1 people found the following evaluation helpful: Super professor. Definitely one of the top two in the department that I've had so far. Very understanding and flexible. After the first couple of weeks of attempting to read the book, I never touched it again (except to do homework problems). This is because Bailey was able to teach all the material in a fashion that was very easy to follow. I have a hard time following lectures and learning from them-I mostly just read the book. But, with Bailey, I had no problem at all. His homework assignments can be tough, but the office hours are VERY helpful. If you ask a question in there, he really tailors his response to you specifically. He knows all his students very well and knows what kind of answer he should provide so that he doesn't do the homework for you, yet gives you the start you need to finish. The group projects can be a bit laborious..so get a good start early on with them! You don't want to be half way finished the day before it's due and not be able to ask him how to move on. If you do your homework and know how to do the practice tests blindfolded, then you'll be set for real tests. Was this rating helpful to you? |

0 of 2 people found the following evaluation helpful: Travis is great. He makes learning this stuff a lot easier by breaking it down into easy to understand material. His tests were really tough though. Be prepared to think outside the box. Do all the homework, and learn how to take those problems a little further though, and you'll do fine. He goes a little quickly through the math aspects, which can be tough, but his office hours are the perfect solution. GO TO THEM!! The only problem I had with him was the timeliness of grading and returning tests and homework. I know his TA's do that stuff, but it's still frustrating to not have your homework back in time to study for a test. All around, great teacher, totally approachable, and pretty funny!
